Purpose
This statement describes the scope of services provided by Capital Edge Consulting Group and clarifies our independence from certification bodies and audit functions, including requirements specific to R2 and e-Stewards certification programs. It is intended to preserve audit integrity, avoid conflicts of interest, and set clear expectations for clients.
Scope of Services
Capital Edge Consulting Group provides advisory and preparatory services related to management system certification readiness, documentation, and ongoing compliance support.
Services may include:
Certification readiness and gap assessments
Management system and supporting documentation development
Ongoing compliance monitoring and advisory support
Operational readiness and workflow assessments
Audit preparation activities that support organizational readiness
All services are delivered pursuant to a defined scope set forth in a written agreement.
Independence from Certification Bodies and Auditors
Capital Edge Consulting Group:
Is not a certification body
Does not perform third-party certification audits
Does not issue certifications, audit opinions, or conformity statements
Does not participate in certification decision-making
Certification determinations are made solely by independent, accredited certification bodies and program owners.
R2 and e-Stewards Independence Alignment
In alignment with R2 and e-Stewards program requirements, Capital Edge Consulting Group maintains independence from certification and audit activities by adhering to the following principles:
We do not act as an internal auditor for certification purposes unless explicitly contracted and permitted by the applicable program rules
We do not conduct certification audits, witness audits, or verification activities on behalf of certification bodies
We do not represent our services as a substitute for certification audits or as influencing certification outcomes
We do not prepare audit findings, audit reports, or corrective action determinations on behalf of certification bodies
Our services are limited to preparatory, advisory, and support activities designed to help organizations understand and address certification requirements prior to independent audits.
Preservation of Audit Integrity
To preserve audit integrity under ISO, R2, and e-Stewards frameworks:
Our assessments are not certification audits
Findings are advisory and informational, not audit determinations
Final evaluation of conformity is performed solely by independent auditors
We avoid conflicts of interest with certification bodies and auditors
No Guarantees or Assurances
Capital Edge Consulting Group does not guarantee:
R2 or e-Stewards certification outcomes
Audit results or scoring
Acceptance of corrective actions by certification bodies
Regulatory approvals or endorsements
Certification outcomes depend on independent auditor judgment and organizational implementation.
Management Responsibility
Responsibility for implementation, operational control, corrective actions, and ongoing compliance remains solely with the client’s management.
Our role is to support readiness and informed decision-making, not to assume management or compliance responsibility.
Use of Tools and Technology
Technology, including artificial intelligence tools, may be used to support consistency, efficiency, and coverage in service delivery. Such tools are used as decision-support only, under human oversight, and do not replace professional judgment or independent audit functions.
Relationship to Other Policies and Agreements
This statement should be read in conjunction with:

In the event of a conflict, executed contractual agreements govern.
